Terms of Service

Welcome to Chappie ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chappie platform, including our website at mychappie.com, web application at v2.mychappie.com, iOS application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Chappie, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. The Service is currently available on an invite-only basis during our launch phase.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials and recovery codes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3. Description of Service

Chappie is an AI-powered life operations assistant designed for military service members, veterans, and military-connected individuals. The Service provides conversational AI with persistent memory, action item tracking, notes organization, calendar analysis, voice interaction, proactive check-ins, and access to military resource information.

3.1 Chappie Is Not a Professional Service

Chappie is not a therapist, medical professional, financial advisor, or legal counsel. The Service provides general informational support and organizational tools. It does not provide medical diagnoses, therapeutic interventions, financial advice, or legal guidance. Always consult qualified professionals for such needs.

3.2 Crisis Resources

The Service includes easy access to the Veterans Crisis Line (988, press 1) and other crisis resources. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services (911) or the Veterans Crisis Line immediately. Chappie is not a substitute for emergency services.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

Chappie offers a free tier with limited features, including 10 messages per day and core chat functionality.

4.2 Pro Tier

The Pro tier is available at $9.99/month or $79.99/year and includes unlimited messages, voice mode, calendar integration, proactive check-ins, and unlimited memory. New users receive a 7-day free trial of Pro features.

4.3 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your payment method on file. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Share classified, secret, or top-secret information with the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.) without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, content, logos, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create within the Service (notes, conversations, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. OPSEC Awareness

Chappie is designed with operational security in mind. However, you are responsible for ensuring that you do not share classified, operationally sensitive, or otherwise restricted information through the Service. We will never encourage or solicit such information.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by requesting account deletion through the Service. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed (hard delete) — not merely deactivated. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chappie, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Service or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
